The Power of Community and the Impact of Donations

Here at University Hospital Foundation, we understand the power of community and know how impactful a donation of any size can be. Every dollar donated goes towards achieving University Hospital’s vision of improving the health of our communities for generations to come. No one’s health should be determined by their zip code, and because of people like you, University Hospital can and will continue to provide top-notch medical care to all who walk through their doors, regardless of their ability to pay.

This past year was a remarkable time in the Hospital’s history, and we are grateful and humbled to share how much you made a positive difference. Your gift impacted every corner of care at University Hospital.  It helped save lives and improve health outcomes for the entire community and ensured that University Hospital will always remain ready to provide medical services in times of crisis. You supported the work of our tireless and dedicated staff who provided medical care for:

  • 17,500 inpatient admissions
  • 255,978 outpatient clinic visits
  • 89,269 Emergency Department visits
  • 12,366 surgical procedures
  • 1,200 babies delivered
  • 33 Liver transplants
  • … and more.

With your support, we were able to invest in a mobile cancer screening unit that will improve cancer outcomes by providing high-tech screenings to medically underserved women in our community.

Your generosity is helping us to increase survival rates for our most severely injured patients treated in the Eric Munoz Trauma Center with investment in a dedicated trauma operating room and specialized education for our staff.

Because of your gifts, we distributed over 110,000 meals to patients, caregivers, community members and healthcare workers, and clothed over 3,000 patients in crisis who needed unsoiled, untattered, comfortable clothing.

We could not have accomplished so much without you, and we are humbled by the strength and generosity of this community. Thank you today and every day.
