Honoring Dan Morley at University Hospital Foundation’s Annual Golf Classic
We are proud to name Dan Morley as the honoree for University Hospital Foundation’s 2025 Golf Classic!
Dan, President Emeritus at Business Furniture, Inc. (BFI), joined our golf committee in 2023, quickly making a major impact helping secure new sponsors and foursomes and playing a key role in making last year’s event the most successful in its 12-year history. His enthusiasm, leadership, and love of the game have brought new energy to our efforts.
In his role at BFI, Dan has partnered with University Hospital for decades, helping to furnish welcoming spaces for patients, families, and staff. He served as President and CEO for 17 years, helping to grow BFI into one of the top office furniture dealerships in the region and, when it was time to step down from his role, led the company through a successful transition to become a certified Women-Owned Business Enterprise. Today, he remains active in business development and mentorship.
Dan has supported and organized many golf tournaments throughout his career and is passionate about introducing women in business to the game he loves, creating new opportunities for connection, confidence, and community on the course. Since launching his real estate golf tour in 1996, Dan has helped raise funds for organizations like Make-A-Wish, March of Dimes, and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (now Breakthrough T1D). We are excited to continue leveraging Dan’s expertise to grow the Golf Classic and raise critical funds to support our patients and staff.
Dan’s greatest delight is seeing the Morley family grow and prosper. He and his wife, Eileen, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary this year, a milestone made even more special by the love and support they’ve shared throughout Dan’s career. Dan and Eileen’s two sons, Sean and Seamus, and their wives Courtney and Kirsten, have presented them with six beautiful grandchildren: Gavin, Colin, Liam, Maeve, Emmett and Fiona. The Morleys have been members of Hackensack Golf Club since 1992, where Dan has served on the Board for 10 years and now co-chairs the Membership Committee.
