Toast & Tribute Raises Over $165,000

University Hospital Foundation’s recent Toast & Tribute celebration raised over $165,000 to help cover the cost of free breast cancer screenings for underserved women in our community. The event honored Dr. Ana Natale-Pereira, Division Director, General Internal Medicine and Associate Dean of Primary Care, Diversity, and Community Engagement at Rutgers NJMS, and the Connie Dwyer Breast Cancer Foundation (CDBCF) in recognition of their work addressing breast cancer disparities in our community.

The annual celebration held on April 10th, 2024, at the Highlawn Pavilion brought out a crowd of friends, supporters, and partners of University Hospital Foundation. Guests were able to experience the new Mobile Mammography Van, which was parked onsite. The purchase of this state-of-the-art unit was made possible thanks to Dr. Natale’s leadership and an alliance with CDBCF to raise over $1 million.

Among this year’s top sponsors were Health Advocates Network, PSE&G, HPAE, CDW, Epstein, Becker & Green, Gensler, Rutgers New Jersey Medical School Dean’s Office, and the Department of Pediatrics.
